Breaking: Philadelphia Eagles Confirm To Trade For Intriguing Tight End

**Philadelphia Eagles Consider Trading for Promising Tight End**

Howie Roseman and the Philadelphia Eagles have taken an aggressive approach this NFL offseason. With the signing of star running back Saquon Barkley and a strong 2024 NFL Draft class, the team has made significant strides.

As the offseason winds down and training camp approaches, most teams have slowed their roster adjustments. However, there are still quality free agents available and potential trade opportunities for the right price.

**Could the Eagles Make a Pre-Training Camp Trade?**

One position the Eagles might look to strengthen is tight end. Dallas Goedert is the clear starter, but depth behind him is questionable. C.J. Uzomah hasn’t been the same player he was a few years ago, and the rest of the position lacks notable value. This scenario could prompt the Eagles to consider a trade.

**Proposal: Eagles Trade for Texans’ Tight End Brevin Jordan**

ClutchPoints recently suggested that the Houston Texans’ tight end Brevin Jordan could be a good fit for the Eagles. Jordan has shown potential when given opportunities and could compete for the backup role.

In the 2023 season, Jordan’s role with the Texans was limited, but he managed to catch 17 passes for 219 yards and two touchdowns. These numbers are impressive considering his limited role. At 6-foot-3 and 245 pounds, Jordan is agile and can create mismatches against linebackers. He could serve as a reliable option in two tight end sets for quarterback Jalen Hurts.

Goedert’s history of injury issues also makes depth at tight end crucial. Should Goedert get injured, Jordan could step in as a capable starter for the Eagles. Acquiring Jordan would likely only cost a late-round pick, possibly a sixth-rounder. This would be a worthwhile investment for the Eagles.

While this is speculative, it presents an intriguing possibility. Philadelphia could benefit from better tight end depth, and Jordan appears to be a sensible target if they decide to make a move.
