**Auburn Tigers News: Jim Nagy Praises Transfer OL Percy Lewis, Auburn Baseball Adds Transfers**
In today’s Auburn Tigers update, Senior Bowl executive Jim Nagy sees significant potential in transfer offensive lineman Percy Lewis, and Auburn baseball brings in two more players from the transfer portal.
**Jim Nagy’s Take on Percy Lewis**
One of the main challenges for head coach Hugh Freeze has been strengthening the offensive line, and significant progress has been made through high school recruiting and the transfer portal. Jim Nagy, a Senior Bowl executive, has high expectations for Percy Lewis, a transfer from Mississippi State. Although Lewis has only eight career starts, Nagy believes he has the potential to be the next Auburn offensive lineman drafted, provided he continues to develop and earns a Senior Bowl invite.

Auburn baseball head coach Butch Thompson is also active in the transfer portal, bringing in seven transfers to revamp the team after a disappointing 2024 season.
Recently, former East Carolina outfielder Bristol Carter committed to Auburn. Carter was an AAC All-Freshman selection last season, with the second-highest batting average on his team at .346, along with two home runs and 31 RBIs.
Additionally, Auburn secured a commitment from right-handed pitcher Mason Koch, who served as a closer for Creighton last season. In 25 appearances, Koch struck out 60 batters and walked 17. He may compete for a starting role at Auburn and felt an immediate connection with the campus and coaching staff during his visit.
“I walked on campus and after walking around a little bit, I kind of got the feeling ‘this is where I’m supposed to be,'” Koch told Auburn Undercover. “Then after meeting all the coaches, they all seem super-knowledgeable and they’re going to be the best people to help me make the next step in my career. I chose Auburn because it was the best fit. The school is fantastic and the coaches were great. Everybody in that program was just fantastic.”
