On Tuesday, Alabama football secured its third commitment from an offensive lineman in the 2025 recruiting class. Following an official visit to Tuscaloosa, tackle prospect Jackson Lloyd made his promise public.
Lloyd has received a 247Sports consensus rating of four stars. He plays football for his high school in Carmel, California.
On the 247 composite, which rates him as the No. 187 overall player, the 6-foot-7, 290-pound Lloyd is ranked as the No. 19 offensive tackle in the 2025 class. At Carmel, Lloyd also plays baseball and basketball.
Lloyd was rated by 247Sports national recruiting analyst Greg Biggins as a physical player who “jumps out and moves well.” Reaches the second level and consistently places people on their backs and takes LBs and DBs off the screen. can simply abuse children at the high school level. Still has all the physical attributes you want to see, but he can still play high at times and get faster in the short area. Plays through the whistle and has a terrific nasty streak.
Among other offers, Lloyd choose the Crimson Tide over those from Florida, Ohio State, and Michigan State. When Nick Saban’s successor started coaching in Tuscaloosa in January, he was among the first players offered by newly appointed Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer.
He became the 17th pledge from Alabama for the 2025 class. Michael Carroll, a Pennsylvania IOL prospect, and Mal Waldrep, a tackle from Central-Phenix City, are also in the group.
According to the 247Sports aggregate ratings, Alabama’s class is presently ranked third. Only Notre Dame and Ohio State are ranked higher than the Crimson Tide.
