Breaking: Top Talented Highly SEC Five-Star RB Commits To Auburn Tigers Football

Penn State Likely Losing Five-Star RB Commit Alvin Henderson to Auburn

According to On3, Alvin Henderson, a four-star running back in the 2025 class, is expected to de-commit from Penn State and commit to Auburn. This shift would be a significant loss for Penn State’s 2025 recruiting class, but it might open the door for another running back recruit to join the Nittany Lions.

Henderson, a top 125 recruit from Elba, Alabama, seems poised to return to his home state to play for the Auburn Tigers. Despite his commitment to Penn State, Auburn’s persistent efforts appear to have convinced him to stay in the South.

The potential flip could influence four-star running back recruit Jabree Wallace-Coleman, who is visiting Penn State today, June 21st. The news of Henderson’s likely departure might make Wallace-Coleman more inclined to consider committing to the Nittany Lions.

Henderson’s departure would be a blow to Penn State’s recruiting class, where he ranks among the top five commits for 2025. However, the Nittany Lions still have two other running back commits, Tiqwai Hayes and Kiandre Barker, and Quinton Martin Jr. from the 2024 class, who has shown promise in offseason workouts.

While losing Henderson would be disappointing, Penn State has a strong track record in recruiting running backs under head coach James Franklin. The team can still attract talent through recruiting or the transfer portal. Additionally, running backs and assistant head coach Ja’Juan Seider has been instrumental in maintaining the strength of Penn State’s running back position, giving fans confidence in the future.
