DeArdo suggests that while Cam Jurgens, entering his third year, might be a viable replacement, Williams’ proven track record makes him a more reliable choice. Williams has 77 NFL starts under his belt, offering a level of experience that could provide solid competition for the starting center role in Philadelphia.

Williams began his NFL career with the Cowboys in 2018 as a starting left guard and held that position until moving to the Miami Dolphins in 2022, where he transitioned to starting center. Despite suffering an ACL tear in 2023, Williams delivered his best performance last season, earning an 86.5 offensive grade and a 90.5 run-blocking grade from Pro Football Focus, ranking second among full-time players at his position.
The Eagles already have a solid left guard in Landon Dickerson, but Williams’ versatility at both left guard and center could be invaluable, especially in case of injuries.
