Breaking News: Just In 5-Star DL Commit To Tennessee Vols

This weekend, Charles House, a five-star defensive lineman, pledged to Tennessee, giving them another promise on Saturday. The native of Huntersville, North Carolina, chose the Volunteers over offers from other prestigious schools.
House, who weighs 288 pounds and is 6-3, goes to North Mecklenburg High School. House is ranked as the 284th overall prospect in the class of 2025 by On3 Sports. In the state of North Carolina, he is ranked eighth among players.

Among numerous other offers, House also had offers from Georgia and Alabama. In the class of 2025, he joins four-star prospects Jayden Loftin and Ethan Utley on the defensive line. House recently returned from his formal visit to Knoxville, just like a few other pledges this week. Notably, House traveled on official business to Georgia on June 7 and Alabama on May 31 before arriving in Knoxville.

During the Texas A&M game last autumn, he made his first trip to Tennessee, which was an exciting “Checker Neyland” experience. He received a scholarship offer from Tennessee in September of 2023. Since then, he’s been on the upswing, receiving multiple significant offers in the last few months.

House will enter the defensive line room in Tennessee with the goal of following in Rodney Garner’s footsteps, who has completely changed the state’s defensive front.
