‘You Know What Time It Is!’ Texas Head Coach Steve Sarkisian Aims to Secure Five-Star Michael Fasusi
Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian was seen in a video posted on X, flashing the Hook ‘Em sign alongside Michael Fasusi, signaling a strong push in Fasusi’s recruitment.
The Texas Longhorns have seamlessly integrated flashy elements like luxury cars into their recruiting strategy for the class of 2025. Earlier this month, a showcase of Lamborghinis outside DKR made waves online, and now a new Twitter video features one of the nation’s top offensive tackle recruits, Michael Fasusi, with Coach Sarkisian, both displaying the Hook ‘Em sign.
Fasusi, a standout run-blocking offensive tackle ranked fifth in the class of 2025, took his final official visit to Austin this weekend—his second visit to Texas’ campus. As July approaches, he remains one of the most high-profile recruits on Texas’ radar.
Three separate crystal ball predictions on 247Sports expect Fasusi to choose Texas over Missouri, Oklahoma, and Texas A&M, keeping the top lineman in the state close to home. The Lewisville product is poised to be the first five-star commitment for the Longhorns’ 2025 class, potentially followed by a trio of elite wide receivers.
“I love Texas, man,” Fasusi said in a previous interview. “With Coach Flood, I really feel like he’s one of the guys that can for sure get me to the level that I aspire to be at, which is the NFL.”
Although Fasusi is considering some of the nation’s best offensive lines, Texas appears to be the favorite after this weekend’s official visit.
