Three-Star Linebacker Dominic Mitchell Commits to Kansas State
Dominic Mitchell, a three-star linebacker from Phoenix (Ariz.) Brophy Prep, announced his commitment to Kansas State on Wednesday after an official campus visit last weekend. He chose the Wildcats over eight other scholarship offers.
Standing at 6-foot-2 and weighing 200 pounds, Mitchell is one of the top defensive prospects in Arizona for the 2025 class. He made his decision ahead of his senior year.
“I visited Kansas State this past weekend with many questions, and when I left, I had all those questions answered and knew this was the place for me,” Mitchell told 247Sports. “I chose Kansas State because of the culture around football, family, brotherhood, and life in general.
“I wanted a coaching staff that believed in me and could develop me, and I know the K-State staff can do both. They make me feel like family and that I belong.”
Mitchell is ranked as the No. 195 linebacker nationally and the No. 31 overall prospect in Arizona for the 2025 class, according to 247Sports rankings.
In his junior season, Mitchell recorded 72 total tackles, including 5.5 for a loss, over 13 games.
“I’m super excited to be a part of coach Joe Klanderman’s defense,” Mitchell said. “He’s a great teacher and knows the game well. I believe the defensive scheme fits my game, and my versatility allows me to play either jack or strong safety. I truly can’t wait to be in it.”
Mitchell’s commitment brings the Wildcats to double-digit commitments for their 2025 recruiting class.
