Breaking: Dallas Mavericks Confirm To Reach Mutual Agreement To Sign Top Experienced NBA Star To Pair With Luka Doncic

Dallas Mavericks Eyeing $160M NBA Star Jerami Grant to Pair with Luka Doncic

The Dallas Mavericks are reportedly interested in acquiring Portland Trail Blazers star Jerami Grant.

After their NBA Finals loss to the Boston Celtics, the Mavericks are keen on improving their roster this summer. Although challenging under the league’s new CBA, Dallas is determined to assemble the right pieces around Luka Doncic for another deep playoff push.

Ian Begley of SNY recently reported that Dallas is among the teams showing interest in Grant. Grant is currently on a five-year, $160M deal with the Trail Blazers and has been highly productive as a full-time starter. Since joining the Detroit Pistons in 2020, he has averaged a career-high 22.3 points per game and finished second in Most Improved Player voting.

Grant would benefit from the defensive focus on Doncic and Kyrie Irving, potentially making him an excellent fit for the Mavericks. While managing his contract would be a complex task for Dallas, the basketball fit appears promising.
