Good News: Just In Another Top Highly Rated 5-Star QB Commits To Penn State Football

**Penn State Adds Coveted 5-Star Quarterback to 2026 Recruiting Class**

The future looks bright for Penn State’s quarterback position with the addition of California quarterback Troy Huhn, a five-star prospect in the 2026 class. Huhn, standing at 6-foot-4 and weighing 205 pounds, verbally committed to the Nittany Lions on Tuesday morning, according to Blue-White Illustrated.

Huhn was heavily pursued by head coach James Franklin, offensive assistant Danny O’Brien, and offensive coordinator Andy Kotelnicki.

He is the second player to join Penn State’s 2026 class, following four-star running back Messiah Mickens, who will play at Harrisburg High School and committed to the Lions last summer.

In addition, Franklin has secured a verbal commitment from Bekkem Kritza, a three-star quarterback from Miami, for the 2025 class. Kritza committed to Penn State last fall.

Franklin and his staff have been active this month, adding several promising prospects in the last eight days, with Huhn being the latest addition.
