Latest Vikings News: Just In Minnesota Vikings Confirm To Reach Mutual Agreement To Sign Former Pro Bowl WR

**Minnesota Vikings Encouraged to Sign Former Pro Bowl WR**

With the Minnesota Vikings’ regular season opener against the New York Giants on September 8 still over two months away, GM Kwesi Adofo-Mensah has addressed many key needs this offseason. However, the team still lacks a clear No. 3 wide receiver.

While there are several candidates already on the roster, the Vikings could also consider players from other teams or unsigned free agents.

One notable free agent is former Las Vegas Raiders Pro Bowl wide receiver Hunter Renfrow, who has been highlighted by The Athletic’s Alec Lewis as a potential target for the Vikings.

Renfrow, a former fifth-round pick, has exceeded expectations in his NFL career with 269 receptions, 2,884 receiving yards, and 17 touchdowns. Despite being only 28 years old, his production has declined in the past two seasons, with just 330 and 255 yards respectively. However, in 2021, Renfrow earned a Pro Bowl nod with 1,038 yards and nine touchdowns on 103 receptions, which led to a two-year, $32 million contract in 2022.

Although the Raiders have moved on from Renfrow, his past performance suggests he still has potential. Bringing him in for a workout could be a low-risk move for the Vikings to see if he can regain his high-level play.
