**Texas Lands K-State Transfer Forward Arthur Kaluma**
Former Kansas State forward Arthur Kaluma announced on Thursday that he is transferring to Texas. Kaluma shared the news on Instagram, posting a picture of himself in Texas gear with the caption “Hook ‘em” and a cowboy hat tipped over his eyes.
After transferring to Kansas State last year following two seasons at Creighton, Kaluma posted career highs of 14.4 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game in 33 games (32 starts). Over his three seasons in college basketball, he has averaged 12.2 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game across 101 appearances (39 starts).
Kaluma is the latest high-profile transfer to join coach Rodney Terry and the Longhorns this offseason as they prepare to enter the SEC. Texas has also signed shooting guard Tramon Mark (Arkansas), high-scoring point guard Jordan Pope (Oregon State), and guards Julian Larry and Jayson Kent from Indiana State’s NIT finalist team.
