**2024 NBA Draft: Former Texas Longhorns Max Abmas, Dylan Disu Sign NBA Summer League Deals**

Following the 2024 NBA Draft, former Texas men’s basketball stars Max Abmas and Dylan Disu have secured summer league deals. Abmas will join the Utah Jazz’s summer league roster after an impressive collegiate career, where he finished as the eighth-leading scorer in NCAA history.

The Dallas native, standing at 6 feet tall, led Texas in scoring (16.8 points per game), minutes per game (35.1), and tied for the lead in assists per game (4.1) during his only season with the Longhorns after transferring from Oral Roberts. Abmas amassed 3,131 career points, reaching double figures in scoring 29 times last season, and was a three-time Big 12 Newcomer of the Week. He also earned spots on the All-Big 12 second team and the Big 12 All-Newcomer Team.

Meanwhile, Disu will play for the Toronto Raptors summer league team following a remarkable final season at Texas. The 6-foot-9 Pflugerville Hendrickson product averaged a career-high 15.5 points in 25 games (20 starts), despite missing the first nine games due to foot surgery. His performance earned him the Big 12’s Most Improved Player award and first-team All-Big 12 honors.

Houston coach Kelvin Sampson praised Disu’s development, noting his potential to score 30 points on any given night. Disu averaged 17.2 points and 5.2 rebounds in conference play and recorded a career-high 33 points in a win over Cincinnati. Over his collegiate career, Disu averaged 9.5 points and 5.2 rebounds per game across stints with Vanderbilt and Texas.

Both players’ collegiate journeys concluded with Texas’s narrow loss to Tennessee in the NCAA Tournament’s second round on March 23, falling 62-58. The NBA Summer League kicks off on July 6 with the California Classic Summer League and runs through July 22, featuring all 30 teams in the NBA 2K25 Summer League in Las Vegas from July 12-22. All games will be broadcast on NBA TV or ESPN Networks.
