The Texas Longhorns have bolstered their offensive line with the commitment of three-star interior offensive lineman John Mills from the 2025 class.
Throughout this month, the Longhorns have hosted many 2025 recruits for official visits, several of whom have already committed to head coach Steve Sarkisian and his staff. Amid awaiting decisions from other top recruits, Texas secured another commitment Monday night from out-of-state.
According to On3’s Hayes Fawcett, three-star offensive tackle John Mills has committed to Texas, making him the 12th pledge in the 2025 class. “Made it home, SEC get ready,” Mills told Fawcett.
Mills, who hails from St. Ignatius College Preparatory in San Francisco, is an imposing figure at 6-6 and 320 pounds. He visited Texas officially on the weekend of June 14 after visiting Nebraska, Cal, Washington, and Florida. He also received offers from schools like Michigan, Penn State, Tennessee, USC, Utah, and many others.
Ranked by 247Sports as the 38th offensive tackle and 40th overall player in the class, Mills joins a 2025 Texas recruiting class featuring notable four-star recruits such as defensive lineman Lance Jackson, linebacker Elijah Barnes, quarterback KJ Lacey, running back James Simon, and tight end Emaree Winston. Sarkisian and his staff have already secured commitments from offensive linemen Devin and Jordan Coleman.
The Longhorns are now aiming to add elite five-star talents like receivers Dakorien Moore, Kaliq Lockett, Jaime Ffrench, and offensive tackle Michael Fasusi.
