I Will Leave: Just In Toronto Maple Leafs Top Experienced Str Confirm He Wants To leave

**Maple Leafs Trade Their 23rd Pick**

Just as the Maple Leafs were about to use their first-round pick in the NHL Draft, they decided to make a trade. Anaheim, originally holding the 31st overall pick, traded up to 23.

Bob McKenzie mentioned in his draft analysis that the players ranked 20 and below were fairly evenly matched.

In return, the Leafs received the 58th overall pick in addition to Anaheim’s 31st pick.

According to PuckPedia’s pick valuator, this trade favors Anaheim slightly, with their picks valued at 14.68 compared to Toronto’s 16.01. However, if Toronto is confident their targeted player will still be available at 31, they essentially gained a second-round pick for free.
