Sad News: Just In Another Fans Favorite Football 5-Star Confirm To Decommits From Auburn Tigers Football

**Four-star LB Tyler Lockhart Decommits from Auburn**

Mississippi State now appears to be the frontrunner for Tyler Lockhart, a four-star linebacker, who announced his decommitment from Auburn’s 2025 class. This marks the second decommitment for Auburn this week.

Lockhart, who initially committed to the Tigers in early April, shared on social media that he is withdrawing his pledge from Hugh Freeze’s program. The Mississippi native recently completed an official visit to Mississippi State, where his brother plays, and currently holds two 247Sports Crystal Balls predicting his move to the Bulldogs.

Following his official visit to Auburn earlier this month, Lockhart indicated that Mississippi State was the only other program he was considering. “It’s just Mississippi State,” Lockhart said.

Ranked as a top-150 player overall in the class and the No. 17 linebacker, Lockhart’s surprise commitment to Auburn was made in a late-night announcement back in May.

Earlier this week, four-star offensive tackle Carde Smith also decommitted from Auburn. Despite these setbacks, Auburn’s 2025 class remains ranked in the top 10, with hopes of making significant gains during Big Cat Weekend next month.
