Breaking: Nick Sirianni Confirm 3 Eagles Players To Be Cut Prior to Training Camp

**3 Eagles Who Could Be Cut Before Training Camp**

In the competitive world of the NFL, even with 90-man rosters, some players may not make it to the start of training camp as teams evaluate performances from OTAs and minicamps. For the Philadelphia Eagles, making the 53-man roster this season is especially tough given their strong lineup poised for a significant run in the NFC after a disappointing finish last year.

Here are three Eagles players who could be at risk of being cut before training camp in 2024:

1. **Albert Okwuegbunam, TE**

The Eagles boast one of the league’s top tight ends in Dallas Goedert. Potential TE2, Grant Calcaterra, has impressed during the offseason, earning praise from head coach Nick Sirianni. This puts Albert Okwuegbunam, acquired in a trade in 2023, in a precarious position. Despite his talent, Okwuegbunam faces stiff competition not only from Goedert and Calcaterra but also from veteran CJ Uzomah.

2. **Oren Burks, LB**

Despite the importance of the linebacker position in Vic Fangio’s defense, Oren Burks might find it difficult to secure a spot due to the Eagles’ depth at this position. Signed to a one-year, $1.5 million contract with only $850,000 guaranteed, Burks could be released to give him a chance elsewhere. The Eagles brought in Zack Baun and Devin White, who are expected to start, and also have Nakobe Dean and fifth-round draft pick Jeremiah Trotter Jr. in the mix. Given the crowded lineup, Burks might be the odd man out despite a solid season with the 49ers in 2023.

3. **James Bradberry, CB**

Surprisingly, James Bradberry remains on the roster despite a poor 2023 season. The Eagles’ acquisition of Quinyon Mitchell in the first round and Cooper DeJean in the second round of the 2024 NFL Draft signals their intention to revamp the secondary. Bradberry allowed 11 touchdown passes last season, the most on record, with a defensive passer rating of 114.3, making him a liability. The Eagles may look to move on from Bradberry, who might benefit from a change of scenery. Though his trade value is uncertain, there’s likely at least one team willing to take a chance on him given his prior performance.

With these considerations, the Eagles are expected to make tough decisions as they finalize their roster for the upcoming season.
