**Auburn Tigers News: Auburn Football Loses Another Commit**
On Friday afternoon, 4-star linebacker Tyler Lockhart announced via social media that he is decommitting from the Auburn football program and reopening his recruitment. Lockhart, from Winona, Mississippi, is ranked as the #19 linebacker in the 2025 recruiting class and the #5 prospect in his state.
Lockhart’s decision follows his visit to Mississippi State, where his brother plays. His commitment to Auburn in May was surprising, as he had been leaning towards the Bulldogs. It appears that the in-state program has influenced his reconsideration.
Despite losing two commits this week, Auburn’s 2025 recruiting class remains ranked in the top 10 nationally and includes 14 commits.
