Latest Longhorns News: Just In Five-Star Highly Rated WR Commits To Texas Longhorns Football

Five-star WR Dakorien Moore Sets July 4th Commitment Date

The nation’s top wide receiver, Dakorien Moore from Duncanville, TX, is set to announce his college commitment on July 4th, igniting excitement in Austin, Baton Rouge, Columbus, or Eugene.

According to Hayes Fawcett of On3, Moore, a five-star recruit, will decide between LSU, Ohio State, Oregon, and Texas. Moore initially committed to LSU last August but reopened his recruitment in May. Since then, he has focused on the Buckeyes, Ducks, Longhorns, and Tigers.

Moore has made official visits to all four schools, with his most recent visit being to Oregon in late June after visiting Texas earlier that month.

While Texas has appeared to be a strong contender since Moore’s de-commitment from LSU, the Ducks have been gaining momentum, and Ohio State’s reputation for producing NFL wide receivers under Brian Hartline makes them a formidable competitor.

There is optimism for Steve Sarkisian and the Longhorns, who aim to land a five-star recruit from Duncanville for the second consecutive cycle. However, as with any high-profile recruitment, the situation remains fluid until the commitment is officially confirmed.

The decision from the nation’s top wide receiver prospect is just over 24 hours away, promising a spectacular conclusion for one fortunate college town.
