Breaking News: Just In Miami Dolphins Confirm Another Departure Of Top Talented Star

21 May (UPI) — DeVante Parker, an NFL wide receiver who played most of his career with the Miami Dolphins, will retire from the league, his agent Jimmy Gould revealed to UPI on Tuesday.

Parker was signed by the Philadelphia Eagles earlier in the off-season to a one-year deal. Parker expressed his desire to spend more time with his family to ESPN late on Monday.
Parker stated to the site, “I want to see my kids and spend quality time with them.” “I want to be there for them whenever I can.”

The Dolphins selected Parker, 31, with the 14th overall choice in the 2015 NFL Draft. In 2022, the veteran wide receiver was traded by the Dolphins to the New England Patriots.

During his 2019 Dolphins season, Parker set career highs in receiving yards (1,202), touchdowns (9) and total number of appearances (16), as well as in targets (128) and catchers (72). In each of his other eight seasons, he was unable to record at least 800 receiving yards or to score more than four touchdowns.

Parker had 119 career appearances and finished with 402 catches for 5,660 yards and 27 touchdowns. During the course of the Patriots’ 13-game season, he caught 33 passes for 394 yards without scoring any touchdowns.
Monday marked the start of the Eagles’ formal team activities in Philadelphia. Among the wide receivers on the Eagles roster are Johnny Wilson, A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith, Parris Campbell, and Ainias Smith.

Ainias Smith was chosen by the Eagles in the fifth round of the 2024 NFL Draft. In the sixth round, they selected Wilson. Earlier in the off-season, Campbell inked a free agent contract with the Eagles.
