**Tennessee Football Lands Two Players on First Team All-American List**
The Tennessee Volunteers have two standout players named to the preseason All-American lists. Center Cooper Mays and edge rusher James Pearce Jr. both made the Walter Camp Football All-American list, representing Tennessee’s offensive and defensive units respectively.
With Nico Iamaleava starting as quarterback for the first time this season, the presence of top players like Mays and Pearce Jr. will be crucial for the Volunteers.
ESPN’s Matt Miller recently predicted in his NFL mock draft that Pearce Jr. could be selected fourth overall by the Tennessee Titans. Miller highlighted Pearce’s impressive quickness and performance, noting his 9.5 sacks and a 52-yard pick-six from last season, which would make him a significant asset opposite Harold Landry III.
The Volunteers, under head coach Josh Heupel, aim to build on last season’s successes, relying on key players like Mays and Pearce Jr. to meet preseason expectations and potentially secure a playoff spot.
