Alabama Football Adds Kicker to Class of 2025
The Alabama Crimson Tide secured another recruiting victory on Wednesday with kicker Peter Notaro announcing his commitment to the team via social media.
Notaro is the second commitment of the day for Alabama, following Justin Hill, bringing the total number of recruits in the 2025 class to 23. Standing 5-foot-11 and weighing 180 pounds, Notaro hails from North Allegheny High School in Wexford, Pennsylvania, and is ranked as the No. 4 kicker in the Class of 2025 by Jamie Kohl.
Offered a scholarship by Alabama’s Jay Nunez on June 22, Notaro excels in kickoffs and field goals. He also received offers from Ohio State, Pittsburgh, and West Virginia. As a junior, according to MaxPreps, he converted 11 of 14 extra-point attempts, made three of five field goals with a long of 47 yards, and averaged 58.9 yards on 37 kickoffs.
Notaro joins punter Alex Asparuhov as the two specialists in head coach Kalen DeBoer’s first recruiting class at Alabama. With Graham Nicholson expected to be the primary kicker for the 2024 season and only one season of eligibility left, it was crucial for DeBoer and his staff to secure another kicker for the future.
