“I Want To Leave” Another Maple Leafs Superstar Confirm He Wants To Join The Vegas Golden Knights

**Maple Leafs Forward Nick Robertson Linked to Vegas Golden Knights**

Another Toronto Maple Leafs star, Nick Robertson, is rumored to be a potential trade target for the Vegas Golden Knights. This follows speculation around Mitch Marner’s future with the team, indicating a possible major shake-up for the Maple Leafs, who have gone 57 seasons without a Stanley Cup.

Robertson, a 22-year-old forward, scored 14 goals last season and is currently a restricted free agent. His agent, Pat Brisson, also represents several prominent Vegas players, making this connection noteworthy.

Robertson, the brother of Dallas Stars forward Jason Robertson, was a key offensive player for Toronto, contributing significantly even with the presence of stars like Mitch Marner and Auston Matthews. His best amateur season was in 2019-20 with the Peterborough Petes, where he scored 55 goals and 31 assists in 46 games. Despite his potential, he has faced challenges due to Toronto’s deep lineup and a series of injuries.

If traded to the Golden Knights, Robertson could become a regular contributor, bringing his playmaking skills, high hockey IQ, and proficiency in offensive zone starts. His quick rush and solid release could address Vegas’ historical struggles on the power play.

However, his small stature (5’9″ and 178 lbs.) and injury history warrant caution. Despite this, he could be a valuable addition for the Golden Knights, who have shown a willingness to make bold moves to improve their roster.

While the Golden Knights appear content with their current lineup, the possibility of acquiring Robertson remains intriguing. Given the team’s past unexpected moves, a trade for Robertson could still be on the horizon.
