“I will Like That” Raiders Davante Adams addresses links to Returning To Packers

**Raiders’ Davante Adams Addresses Packers and Jets Rumors**

During an appearance on the “Up & Adams Show with Kay Adams,” Las Vegas Raiders star wide receiver Davante Adams discussed being recruited by running back Josh Jacobs after Jacobs signed with the Green Bay Packers in free agency.

Adams revealed that Jacobs jokingly suggested he return to the Packers. “It was definitely a joke, but he was serious because he definitely would like that,” Adams said, according to Nick Shook of the NFL’s website. “I told him you go ahead and hold it down. I’m gonna hold it down over here. I don’t think I’ll be coming back over there. Never know what’s gonna happen. If they ship me off, there’s not much I can do about it, but I’m a Raider. So nobody got to worry about that.”

Adams, who played with current New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers in Green Bay from 2014 to 2021, signed a five-year, $141.25 million contract with the Raiders after a trade in March 2022. Despite being linked to the Jets since Rodgers joined them in April 2023, Adams emphasized his commitment to the Raiders.

He acknowledged Rodgers had discussed the possibility of Adams joining him in New York but downplayed the likelihood. “It’s not as easy as — obviously we can get together and talk about the old times and potential of doing this and that, but like I said, I’m a Raider, and he knows that,” Adams said. “Maybe in the next lifetime.”

Adams was one of the players who pushed for Raiders owner Mark Davis to make interim head coach Antonio Pierce the permanent head coach this offseason. Adams, 31, mentioned he “basically tried to do everything” to ensure the front office hired Pierce after his 5-4 interim tenure.

Whether the Raiders can keep Adams content until at least March 2025 remains to be seen.
