Bulls Sign Adama Sanogo to Two-Way Contract
The Chicago Bulls have announced the signing of forward/center Adama Sanogo to a two-way contract.
Sanogo, standing at 6-9 and weighing 245 pounds, played in nine games for Chicago during the 2023-24 season, averaging 4.0 points and 4.0 rebounds in 7.3 minutes per game. His standout rookie performance included a 22-point, 20-rebound game against Washington on April 12, making him the second rookie in Bulls history to record a 20/20 game (after Charles Oakley) and setting a franchise record with eight offensive rebounds in a single quarter.
Originally from Bamako, Mali, Sanogo also played in 29 regular season games (28 starts) for the Windy City Bulls, the Bulls’ G League affiliate. He averaged 22.0 points, 12.7 rebounds, 1.7 assists, and 1.1 blocks in 30.3 minutes per game. Sanogo ranked second in the G League for both rebounds per game (12.7) and total rebounds (367), and he tied for sixth in total points (637). He was the only G League player to achieve at least 500 points and 300 rebounds last season and earned a spot on the 2023-24 All-NBA G League Third Team.
In college, Sanogo played three seasons at Connecticut, where he averaged 13.9 points, 7.3 rebounds, 1.0 assists, 1.2 blocks, and 0.7 steals in 25.0 minutes across 91 games (87 starts). He helped lead the Huskies to a 2023 NCAA Championship, was named the 2023 NCAA Final Four Most Outstanding Player, and received two All-Big East First Team selections in 2022 and 2023.
