**Former Boston Bruins Forward Signs Five-Year Deal to Play in Sweden**
Oskar Steen, a former Boston Bruins forward and 2016 sixth-round draft pick, has signed a five-year contract with Farjestad BK of the Swedish Hockey League, marking the end of his tenure with Boston.
Steen spent parts of four seasons with the Bruins from 2020 to 2024, recording four goals and eight points in 60 regular-season games. The 26-year-old forward initially played four seasons with Farjestad before joining the Bruins on a three-year, entry-level contract on May 3, 2019.
Standing at 5-foot-10 and weighing 195 pounds, Steen also had a notable career with the Providence Bruins of the American Hockey League, where he played 221 games and amassed 53 goals and 63 assists. This move back to Farjestad BK likely indicates that Steen will finish his professional hockey career in his native Sweden.
Steen’s return to Sweden comes after a mixed stint with the Bruins, where he split his time between the NHL and the AHL. While his scoring in the NHL was limited, he showcased his abilities more prominently in the AHL, providing valuable contributions to the Providence Bruins over several seasons.
