Breaking: Bulls Confirm Major Setbacks As Another Top Experienced $90 Million Superstar Suffer Devasting Injury

Now that All-Star guard DeMar DeRozan has been traded to the Sacramento Kings, the Chicago Bulls are starting to disassemble. Patrick Williams, the team’s young forward, has provided an important update on his injury situation while this is going on.

Williams filed for the 2020 NBA Draft following a great collegiate career at Florida State, where he was nominated to the ACC All-Freshman team and the ACC Sixth Man of the Year. The Chicago Bulls drafted him fourth overall, and in November 2020 he signed a rookie scale contract with the organization.
A month later, in a loss to the Atlanta Hawks, Williams made his NBA debut with 16 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal, and 1 block. Throughout his rookie campaign, he showed promise; in May 2021, he scored a season-high 24 points against the Brooklyn Nets.

Williams sustained a dislocated wrist during the 2021–2022 season, necessitating surgery and keeping him out of action for several months. After making his court comeback in March 2022, he finished the season well, scoring a career-high 35 points against the Minnesota Timberwolves in the regular season finale.

Williams received a $90 million contract deal with the Bulls for the next five years, despite the fact that he only participated in 43 games the previous season. It will be interesting to see if he can deliver on that promise or falter like he has in previous years.
Patrick Williams, a forward with the Chicago Bulls, provides a positive update following his $90 million extension.
Williams has been focused on improving his health even though the NBA is scheduled to return in a few months. The Bulls forward has posted an update for the next season on X, which Darnell Mayberry shared.
When asked how he is feeling physically, Bulls forward Patrick Williams—who is recovering from surgery on his left foot—answered, “I’m pretty good.” I’m currently leaping and running. Not in pain. Absence of edema. Therefore, all I need to do is get back on my feet,” Mayberry tweeted.
Williams has averaged 9.7 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 1.3 assists over the last four seasons. In addition, he made 47% of his shots from the field, 41% of his deep shots, and 78% of his free throws from the line.
Williams is anticipated to return to activity when the newest season kicks off. For a Bulls club that must suddenly discover who they are after trading DeRozan away, his presence will be essential.
