Breaking: Steve Sarkisian Confirm Major Boost With Commitement Of Another Top Talented Five Star Who Rejects Alabama and LSU

**Texas Secures Major Recruiting Win with Four-Star Athlete**

Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian is making significant strides on the recruiting front, securing another major victory with the commitment of four-star athlete Nick Townsend.

Townsend, one of the most intriguing recruits in the 2025 class, represents a significant win for the Longhorns. His offer list includes prestigious programs such as LSU, USC, Alabama, and Texas A&M.

Standing at 6-foot-3 and weighing 225 pounds, Townsend is a versatile athlete. 247Sports ranks him as the No. 3 athlete in the 2025 class due to his ability to play tight end, linebacker, or EDGE. While he will join Texas as a tight end, linebackers coach Johnny Nansen has also shown interest in his defensive potential.

“He mentioned that if one side of the ball doesn’t work out, I can switch to the other,” Townsend told 247Sports. “I’m blessed to have the versatility to play both positions and be the athlete I am today. Without God, none of this would be possible.”

Townsend, who has received nearly 40 offers, ultimately chose Texas over a list of blueblood programs. Sarkisian’s revamped culture at Texas played a significant role in his decision.

“I felt the energy as soon as I stepped on campus for the official visit,” Townsend explained. “The vibe was incredible, and the head coach greeting me personally made a huge impression. I believe Texas can help me become bigger, faster, and stronger, and the fanbase is amazing. I never felt this kind of connection anywhere else.”

Texas fans have much to look forward to with Townsend and Sarkisian’s 2025 class, which is currently ranked No. 15 in the nation by 247Sports.
