**Former Milwaukee Bucks Player Gets New Deal With San Antonio Spurs**
Sandro Mamukelashvili, no longer with the Milwaukee Bucks, remains a valuable asset for any NBA team. The San Antonio Spurs recently recognized this and signed him to a new deal.
Mamukelashvili, a Georgian-American basketball player, was drafted 54th overall by the Indiana Pacers in the second round of the 2021 NBA Draft. He then joined the Bucks, where he played from 2021 to 2023. During his time with the Bucks, he also played for their G League affiliate, the Wisconsin Herd, and was named to the 2023 NBA G League Next Up Game roster.
In 2023, Mamukelashvili signed with the Spurs and currently plays as a center/power forward. He has continued to develop his game, showcasing his versatility in scoring, rebounding, and facilitating. The former Bucks forward showed potential last season, delivering solid production with increased playing time toward the end of the year. His addition brings the Spurs’ roster to 14 players, just one short of the maximum.
Sandro Mamukelashvili has agreed to a one-year, $2.2 million deal to return to the San Antonio Spurs, as confirmed by ESPN insider Adrian Wojnarowski on Twitter. Mamukelashvili had previously averaged 3.2 points on 34 percent shooting from deep and 2.1 rebounds during his two seasons with the Bucks.
With Mamukelashvili secured for another year, the Spurs will benefit from his talents, especially with All-Star point guard Chris Paul running the team’s offense. Expect Mamukelashvili to thrive alongside Victor Wembanyama and company.
