Breaking: Just In New York Yankees Confirm The Departure Of Two Experienced Stars

Following a tough 9–1 defeat to the Tampa Bay Rays on Saturday, the New York Yankees are making strategic bullpen changes during a critical four-game series, aiming to improve their standing in the American League East.

**Yankees Option Maciejewski to Triple-A**

After the game, the Yankees announced that left-handed pitcher Josh Maciejewski has been optioned to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

The 28-year-old has pitched seven innings for the Yankees this season, posting an impressive 2.57 ERA with nine strikeouts per nine innings, an 87% left-on-base rate, and a 55.6% ground ball rate. However, his vulnerability to home runs has persisted.

Drafted in the 10th round in 2018 from UNC, Maciejewski has been part of the Yankees’ minor league system. With three minor league options left, the Yankees can call him up as needed, especially to manage bullpen fatigue and strategy.

**Cody Morris Reassigned to Triple-A**

Alongside Maciejewski’s reassignment, the Yankees have also outrighted right-handed pitcher Cody Morris to Triple-A Scranton. The 27-year-old Morris has a 4.25 ERA over 36 innings with the Yankees’ top minor league team this season. His major league record includes 31.2 innings with a 3.41 ERA and a 37.5% ground ball rate.
