With the acquisition of a defensive prospect on Saturday, Tennessee expanded their class of 2025 recruits. Four-star linebacker Christian Gass selected Tennessee over Georgia and USC.
In June, Gass traveled on official business to Florida, USC, Georgia, Kentucky, and Georgia. Tennessee concluded this match after their June 21 day-to-day hosting.
The Georgia native is a 6-2, 215-pound linebacker from Covington. Gass is rated as the 225th prospect overall in On3’s Industry Rankings. Gass is actually ranked 83rd on On3, which ranks prospects in the top 100. Gass is the 30th player in Georgia and the 25th rated linebacker overall, according to the industry rankings.
Gass recorded 68 total tackles and 11 tackles for loss in his junior year. He caused a fumble and recorded two sacks. Gass is a promising linebacker prospect who also excels in track, recording great timings in the 100 and 200 meters.
Tennessee’s first off-ball linebacker prospect in the 2025 class is Gass.
