Breaking: Auburn Football Suffers Another decommitment Of Top Talented Fan’s Favorite Star

**Auburn Football Suffers Second Decommitment in Three Days**

Auburn football’s 2025 recruiting class took another hit as four-star linebacker Tyler Lockhart decommitted from the Tigers on Friday. Lockhart, rated No. 147 nationally by 247Sports Composite, announced his decision just two days after four-star offensive tackle Carde Smith also backed off his pledge. Lockhart and Smith had been committed to Auburn since May and April, respectively.

Despite these losses, Auburn’s 2025 class still boasts 14 pledges, ranking No. 12 nationally and No. 7 in the SEC, behind Alabama, Georgia, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Tennessee, and LSU, according to 247Sports team rankings.

With over five months until the early signing period, coach Hugh Freeze remains optimistic about finishing with a top-five class. Key commits in Auburn’s top 200 include safety Eric Winters (65), edge defender Jakaleb Faulk (108), running back Alvin Henderson (113), defensive linemen Jourdin Crawford (162) and Malik Autry (180), cornerback Devin Williams (192), and offensive linemen Broderick Shull (193) and Tavaris Dice (197).
