Done Deal: Ravens Confirm The Signing Of Another Top Highly Rated Star

Security Eddie Jackson agreed to join with the Ravens last week, so he was able to take a trip down memory lane.

Since moving to Baltimore, Jackson has reconnected with people from every stage of his football career. He played at Alabama with running back Derrick Henry and cornerback Marlon Humphrey, and he grew up in the same neighborhood as quarterback Lamar Jackson. After that, Jackson played on the same Chicago defense for over four seasons as linebacker Roquan Smith, who was moved to the Ravens in 2022.

Jackson stated on Monday that having everything in place made it simple for him to decide to join the band, and Smith assisted in pressuring the Ravens to sign him.

According to the team website, Jackson stated, “It just felt like a perfect fit.” “I knew it was a perfect fit for me to come in and compete and do what I do to help the team get better and hopefully win the Super Bowl just knowing what they have in this building and the tradition of things.”

At the back end of the defense, the Ravens also have Marcus Williams and Kyle Hamilton. With Jackson added, they will have more options come fall in terms of how they approach opponents. That has always been a strength of the Ravens defense, so if Jackson is right about the fit, things should work out well.
