**SAN ANTONIO (July 23, 2024)** – The San Antonio Spurs have acquired veteran forward Harrison Barnes from the Sacramento Kings in a three-team trade involving the Chicago Bulls. As part of the deal, the Spurs gain the right to swap first-round picks with the Kings in 2031, while sending RaiQuan Gray to Chicago.
Barnes, who stands at 6-8 and weighs 225 pounds, started all 82 games for Sacramento last season. He averaged 12.2 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 1.2 assists, with a 38.7% shooting accuracy from three-point range. He scored in double figures in 51 games, surpassed 20 points in 13 games, and hit the 30-point mark three times, including a career-high 39 points against Golden State on January 25.
A 12-year NBA veteran and champion, Barnes has played 911 career games (850 starts), averaging 14.0 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 1.8 assists in 31.6 minutes per game with Golden State, Dallas, and Sacramento. He has also maintained a streak of 222 consecutive starts over the past three seasons, the second-longest active streak in the NBA.
Barnes has appeared in five playoff series, averaging 10.7 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 1.3 assists in 71 career playoff games (63 starts) with Golden State (2012-16) and Sacramento (2022-23). He won the NBA Finals with the Warriors in 2015.
Drafted seventh overall by Golden State in the 2012 NBA Draft out of North Carolina, Barnes was named to the 2012-13 All-Rookie First Team.
