Good News: Just In Top Talented Highly Rated Star Who Reject LSU And Alabama Finally Commits To Georgia Football

**Nation’s No. 6 IOL Cortez Smith Commits to Georgia Football**

The Georgia Bulldogs have strengthened their offensive line with the commitment of Cortez Smith, the nation’s No. 6 interior offensive lineman. Smith chose Georgia over Miami, South Carolina, and Georgia Tech, becoming the 21st commitment in the Bulldogs’ third-ranked 2025 class.

Smith, who stands 6-foot-3 and weighs 310 pounds, attracted interest from numerous teams. He cited Georgia’s supportive environment as a key factor in his decision. “They make sure every individual is treated the same,” Smith said. “And make sure everybody is given the same opportunity to be great.”

Unlike many young athletes today, Smith wasn’t swayed by NIL (Name, Image, Likeness) deals. “It is great and all, and I guess I would of course love it,” Smith told Jeff Sentell of DawgNation.

“But I guess I just feel like personally that a kid this age shouldn’t have this much money handed to them. Like I haven’t even [gotten] to campus yet. I haven’t done [anything] yet.”

Smith is projected to play as a center or interior offensive lineman in college. Known for his strength and agility, he is a formidable challenge for pass rushers. Parkview head coach Joey Sturdivant praised Smith’s reliability and dedication, stating, “He’s always there. He hasn’t missed a single workout or practice or anything to do with our football team since I’ve been here.”

In addition to football, Smith excels in track and field. As a junior, he won the Georgia 7A shot put state championship and finished second in the discus. The Georgia native has one more high school season before joining the Bulldogs next fall.
