**Philadelphia 76ers Announce Signing of Former Golden State Warriors Player**
The Philadelphia 76ers have officially signed 6-foot-3 guard Jeff Dowtin to a two-way contract, as announced on Monday. President of Basketball Operations Daryl Morey shared that Dowtin, who recently showcased his skills in seven summer-league games with the 76ers, averaged 17.1 points, 3.1 rebounds, and a team-leading 5.7 assists per game. Dowtin scored at least 15 points in each game, including three 18-point performances.
Dowtin has also delivered impressive performances in the G League, notably scoring 41 points, along with eight assists and seven rebounds, in a game for the Delaware Blue Coats last season.
Regarding his NBA career, the 76ers noted that Dowtin has averaged 2.9 points, 1.3 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 11.1 minutes in 46 games with teams including Orlando, Milwaukee, Golden State, Toronto, and Philadelphia. He initially signed with the G League’s Lakeland Magic after the 2020 NBA Draft, contributing to their 2021 NBA G League title. Dowtin made his NBA debut with Golden State on November 3, 2021.
While he played only four NBA games for the Warriors, Dowtin also spent time with their G League affiliate under a two-way contract. He will be a restricted NBA free agent after next season.
