The Raiders have made notable news regarding their receivers recently. They opted not to re-sign Hunter Renfrow in free agency, and there has been speculation that Davante Adams is interested in reuniting with Aaron Rodgers, with an insider labeling Adams’ contract as “untenable.”

**Signing of a Veteran WR in April**

In April, the Raiders signed a veteran receiver to add depth for the quarterback competition between Gardner Minshew and Aidan O’Connell. This receiver was former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Michael Gallup.

**Michael Gallup’s Retirement**

NFL insider Adam Schefter reported that Gallup planned to sign a one-year deal worth up to $3 million with the Raiders. However, according to Ari Meirov of the 33rd Team, Gallup is retiring from the NFL. On Tuesday, the Raiders placed Gallup on the reserve/retired list.

Drafted by the Cowboys in the third round of the 2018 NFL Draft, Gallup recorded 266 receptions for 3,744 yards and 21 touchdowns in his NFL career.
