Alabama in Top 5 for 2025 5-Star CG Jasper Johnson
The Alabama Crimson Tide basketball program continues to make significant strides, largely due to its recruiting success. Recently, Alabama was named a finalist for 2025 five-star combo guard Jasper Johnson. The other contenders include Arkansas, Kentucky, North Carolina, and Louisville.
Johnson has officially visited Alabama, North Carolina, and Kentucky. When asked by On3’s Joe Tipton about his thoughts on Alabama, Johnson said:
“They produce great guards every year and just had a Final Four run. Coach Nate Oats does a really good job, and I’ve been in contact with them. Two of my former teammates, Derrion Reid and Labaron Philon, are freshmen there now and are set for a good year, so I’ll be watching them closely.”
Johnson has been a priority for Alabama’s coaching staff for some time. His connection with current Alabama freshmen Reid and Philon strengthens the Crimson Tide’s chances of landing him.
