Good News: Just In Kansas State football Win Another Commitment Of Top Talented RB Today

Kansas State Football Adds to Fourth of July Fireworks with Pair of Weekend Commitments

Kansas State football celebrated a successful Fourth of July weekend with two new commitments. On Saturday, the Wildcats secured a pledge from Monterrio Elston, a speedy running back from Parkview Magnet in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Elston, a three-star recruit, announced his commitment on Instagram, choosing K-State over Arkansas and Missouri. He is the 14th commitment for K-State’s 2025 recruiting class and the second of the holiday weekend, following the commitment of defensive back RJ Collins from Kansas City, Missouri, on Thursday.

These commitments followed a major recruiting win last Monday when Goodland five-star tight end Linkon Cure chose Kansas State over Kansas, Oregon, and Texas A&M.

The 5-foot-8, 170-pound Elston offers versatility to the Wildcats. As a junior, he helped Parkview Magnet to a second consecutive Arkansas Class 5A championship by amassing 1,854 all-purpose yards, including 847 rushing yards, 887 receiving yards, and 120 return yards. Elston also showcased his speed in track, finishing fifth in the 5A 100-meter dash and participating in the winning 4×200 relay team.

Collins initiated the Wildcats’ weekend success on Thursday, concluding a swift recruiting process. After attending a camp in Manhattan on June 23, he received an offer two days later and quickly made his decision. Kansas State was the only Power Four team to offer the 5-11, 175-pound cornerback, who could also play as a safety. He attracted interest from Nebraska and Wyoming and had offers from FCS schools like North Dakota State, South Dakota State, South Dakota, and North Dakota.

Collins also excelled in track, winning the Missouri Class 5 state championship in the 200 meters and placing third in the 100 meters.
