Done Deal: Another Top Experienced Florida Panthers Star Agree $4.75M Deal With Rivals

**top veteran Joins Red Wings on $4.75M AAV Deal After Panthers Stint**

Veteran forward Vladimir Tarasenko is on the move again, signing a two-year contract with the Detroit Red Wings worth $4.75 million AAV. This follows his tenure with the Florida Panthers, where he helped them secure the Stanley Cup.

After being acquired midseason by the Panthers, Tarasenko notched 14 points in 19 regular-season games and played a pivotal role in the playoffs. He scored the conference finals-winning goal in Game 6 against the New York Rangers, propelling the Panthers to the Final.

Tarasenko, originally a 2010 first-round pick by the St. Louis Blues, was in his 11th season with the Blues when he was traded to the New York Rangers for their 2023 playoff run. He later signed a one-year deal with the Ottawa Senators for the 2023-24 season but waived his no-trade clause to join the Panthers.

Though his shooting volume has decreased from his peak as a 30-goal scorer in St. Louis, Tarasenko contributed effectively on the Panthers’ third line. He aims to provide similar offensive depth and veteran presence for the Red Wings, complementing young stars like Lucas Raymond and Moritz Seider.
