five-star cornerback Blake Woodby, who traveled to The Plains for Auburn’s Big Cat Weekend recruiting event, made up his mind to commit to the Tigers before departing Auburn.
Native of Baltimore, Woodby chose Auburn over the other two programs in his top three, Oregon and Maryland.
At slightly under 5 feet 11 inches and 175 pounds, Woodby is described as a “mighty might” of a cornerback with a “elite” testing profile by 247Sports director of recruiting Andrew Ivins.
Ivins states that in preparation for his junior season, he “posted a laser-timed 4.05 in the short shuttle and a 4.39 in the 40-yard dash at St. Frances Academy’s Pro Day.” “Is under 5-foot-11 and lacks length, but he likes to be the aggressor and doesn’t mind lowering his shoulder pads.”
Woodby is the third-ranked talent in Maryland’s class of 2025 and the 16th-ranked cornerback in the nation, according to 247Sports.
Woodby adds 17 commitments to Auburn’s 2025 recruiting class, primarily because to the efforts of co-defensive coordinator Charles Kelly and defensive backs coach Wes McGriff.
Woodby’s pledge brings the Tigers’ roster to four 2025 cornerbacks, including three-star Dante Core, Devin Williams, and Donovan Starr.
