Good News: Just In Duke Tobin Officially Announced The Signing Of Another Top NFL Veteran To Booster Zac Taylor Roster

**Bengals Add New Target for Joe Burrow**

The Cincinnati Bengals have strengthened their offense by signing a new, sizable target for quarterback Joe Burrow.

With Joe Burrow healthy and back in action, the Bengals are seen as strong contenders in the AFC North. On Friday, they signed Hakeem Butler, a talented player with a notable college career at Iowa State, as reported by NFL insider Adam Schefter.

This signing came amidst two major training camp battles for the Bengals, with star wideout Ja’Marr Chase missing his second consecutive practice, raising concerns.

**Hakeem Butler Joins Bengals**

Standing at 6-foot-5, Hakeem Butler aims to rejuvenate his career with the Bengals, joining forces with Burrow, Chase, and the rest of the team. Butler had an impressive college record with 60 catches for 1,318 yards at Iowa State, promising a bright future.

However, his NFL journey hasn’t lived up to expectations. Butler has only played two NFL games, both in 2020 with the Philadelphia Eagles, and has been part of several training camps, including the Pittsburgh Steelers last season, without significant success.

Recently, Butler played for the USFL’s St. Louis Battlehawks, where he accumulated over 1,200 yards and nearly 100 catches over two seasons. He excelled as a red zone target, scoring 13 touchdowns for St. Louis.

Although the signing of Butler may not drastically change the Bengals’ situation, especially with the concerns surrounding Chase, it could prove to be a strategic move in the long run. Butler’s size and pass-catching abilities could make him a valuable red zone asset in Zac Taylor’s offense.

This fall, Butler has the potential to surprise fans and contribute significantly to the Bengals’ success.
