**Former Louisiana Lafayette Infielder Joins Texas Tech**
LUBBOCK, Texas – Texas Tech softball announced on Monday that Alexa Langeliers has signed with the team. Langeliers, who transferred from Louisiana Lafayette, played for three seasons under coach Gerry Glasco.
A senior middle infielder from Keller, Texas, Langeliers is returning to her home state for her final season. She was named to both the All-Sun Belt Conference Team and the All-Louisiana Team each year she played at Louisiana Lafayette.
In 2024, Langeliers was tied for the team lead in home runs and finished second in RBIs for the Ragin’ Cajuns. She hit 13 home runs and drove in 40 RBIs in 2023.
Known for her defensive skills, she was the top fielding middle infielder on her team in 2023.
“Alexa is an outstanding leader on the field and performs well in crucial moments,” said Glasco. “She played a key role in coach Hunter Veach’s infield last year, contributing to a national-leading 46 doubles. Over the past three years at Louisiana, she has been a vital part of the lineup, and we are excited to add such an experienced and powerful player to our offense!”
