Official NBA News: Just In Milwaukee Bucks Confirm The Signing Of Another Top Experienced Superstar To A Deal Worth…

**Milwaukee Bucks Sign Gary Trent Jr. to Veteran Minimum Contract**

The Milwaukee Bucks have signed veteran shooting guard Gary Trent Jr. to a one-year contract worth $2.6 million, according to Trent’s agency and ESPN. This deal will help complete their roster and likely secure their starting shooting guard position.

Trent, 25, was originally selected in the second round of the 2018 NBA Draft by the Sacramento Kings but was traded immediately to the Portland Trail Blazers, where he played alongside current Bucks point guard Damian Lillard. After nearly three seasons with the Trail Blazers, he was traded to the Toronto Raptors during the 2020-21 season.

Throughout his six-year career, Trent has maintained a 38% shooting accuracy from beyond the arc. His best season came in 2021-22 with Toronto, where he averaged 18.3 points per game and started 69 of the 70 games he played. Since becoming a regular starter in the 2020-21 season, Trent has averaged 16.2 points per game with a 38% shooting rate from three-point range. In the playoffs, he has appeared in 11 games, shooting 36.5% from three-point range.

The Bucks, facing roster constraints due to second apron restrictions, had limited flexibility during the 2024 free agency period. They also signed draft picks AJ Johnson and Tyler Smith, and added guard Delon Wright and forward Taurean Prince. As a team restricted by salary cap rules, they were only able to offer minimum contracts.
