**Alabama Football Secures Commitment from 2027 In-State Linebacker**
While Alabama football is currently focused on finalizing its 2025 recruiting class, it has already made a significant move for future talent. Ba’Roc Willis, a linebacker from the 2027 class, has committed to the Crimson Tide, making him their first recruit for that year.
Willis, who hails from Moody, had offers from several prominent programs including Auburn, Tennessee, LSU, and Missouri. He announced his commitment on X, stating, “Locked in. Time to focus on the season now.”
Listed by On3 as a 6-3, 220-pound linebacker, Willis does not yet have star ratings from On3 or 247Sports. Associated head coach and defensive line coach Freddie Roach is Willis’ primary recruiter, with outside linebackers coach Christian Robinson serving as the secondary recruiter.
New head coach Kalen DeBoer, who took over from Nick Saban this offseason, has quickly achieved recruiting success. During SEC Media Days in Dallas, DeBoer attributed this success to assembling the right team and fostering relationships within the recruiting region.
With Roach and Robinson’s established connections, they played a key role in securing Willis, enhancing Alabama’s future recruiting efforts.
