Five-star WR Derek Meadows Commits to LSU, Boosting Tigers’ 2025 Recruiting Class
LSU has secured another significant commitment for their 2025 recruiting class with the addition of five-star wide receiver Derek Meadows. The Las Vegas Bishop Gorman standout, who had previously been leaning towards Notre Dame, shifted his commitment to the Tigers following an official visit to Baton Rouge.
The 6-foot-5, 200-pound receiver was initially set to announce his decision on July 13 but chose to delay by a week to finalize his choice. His visit to LSU proved decisive, with the Tigers rolling out the red carpet and making a strong impression. Meadows expressed his enthusiasm for joining LSU, highlighting his trust in wide receivers coach Cortez Hankton and the supportive atmosphere within the program.
Meadows praised Coach Hankton’s focus on player development and expressed confidence in their future collaboration. He also emphasized his excitement about competing in the SEC and the family-like environment fostered by the coaching staff.
This commitment adds to LSU’s impressive 2025 recruiting class, which is currently ranked No. 4 nationally and includes the top-ranked player, quarterback Bryce Underwood.
