The Florida Gators made a significant addition to their Class of 2024 on Wednesday by securing a commitment from JUCO defensive lineman Tarvorise Brown. The commitment came on the heels of Brown’s visit to Florida for the first day of practice, where he had the opportunity to get a firsthand look at the program and its facilities.
Standing at an imposing 6-8 and weighing 290 pounds, Brown hails from South Florida and is currently in his second season at Hutchinson Community College in Kansas. Despite his relatively short time in the recruiting spotlight, he has already attracted attention with his impressive physical attributes. As of now, Brown has received only two offers, making his commitment to Florida a notable development for both him and the Gators.
Brown’s recruitment took a significant turn after his meeting with Florida’s defensive line coach, Gerald Chatman, over the weekend. Chatman’s positive assessment and the subsequent offer extended to Brown played a crucial role in sealing the commitment. With three years of eligibility remaining, Brown will be joining the Gators as a preferred walk-on, which reflects the team’s confidence in his potential.
