**Bern Signs Austin Czarnik After Kalle Kossila Deal Falls Through**

SC Bern has signed forward Austin Czarnik for the upcoming season after Kalle Kossila’s contract fell through due to failed medical examinations.

Kossila was initially set to join Bern on a two-year deal, but the National League team announced today that he will not be joining the squad. To fulfill their quota of seven import players, Bern has secured Czarnik’s services for the season.

Czarnik, 31, comes from the Detroit Red Wings organization, where he spent the last two years alternating between the NHL and AHL. Over his career, he has played 206 NHL games and 347 AHL games.

Bern’s team manager, Patrick Bärtschi, praised Czarnik for his versatility and experience, stating, “Czarnik is a center who excels on both ends of the ice and can be utilized in various situations. We are confident that his experience and leadership will be a valuable asset to the team.”
