Tight end McCallan Castles, a potential underdog for a roster spot with the Philadelphia Eagles, has had his training camp cut short. Castles has been waived with an injury designation following a setback during the Eagles’ open training camp practice at Lincoln Financial Field on Thursday night, according to Zach Berman.
Standing at 6-foot-5 and weighing 252 pounds, Castles enjoyed a notable college career, amassing 92 receptions for 1,226 yards and 14 touchdowns. In the 2023 season, he ranked third among SEC tight ends with five touchdown receptions.
With Castles’ departure, the Eagles now have one available roster spot as they prepare for their upcoming game against the Ravens next week.
