Toronto Maple Leafs forward Nick Robertson, who has expressed a desire to be traded, is reportedly a target for a proposed deal involving the Utah franchise. As an unrestricted free agent (RFA), Robertson has indicated his dissatisfaction with his current role and his intention not to re-sign with Toronto. This has led to him being featured in trade discussions, with a recent proposal suggesting a trade sending Robertson to Utah.
The proposed trade would see Toronto acquire Jack McBain from Utah in exchange for Robertson. McBain, who has one year remaining on his $1.59 million annual contract, would be positioned as Toronto’s third-line center if the trade goes through.
